Berkswell School

There has been a school in berkswell since 1500 when pupils had their lessons at the Church. The original Victorian structure provided two classrooms and living accommodation for the Head Teacher. Since then, Berkswell School has expanded and successfully evolved through changing times.

Berkswell Church of England Aided Primary School is situated in the centre of the village of Berkswell and takes pupils from four to eleven years of age. Being a church school, the school has very close links with the church. Services are held in the church twice each term for the children and their parents. The Rector takes the Assembly once a week and works closely with the Head Teacher as a member of the Governing Body. Several other members of the church are also representatives on the governing body.

The school primarily serves the Parish of Berkswell, but where places are available, the school welcomes applications for children living outside the Parish.
Currently there are 240 children in the school organised into 8 classes, one for each age group in school.
